Ariel Kalma

Ariel Kalma (born 1950) is a French musician who uses rhythms, melodies and grooves from various cultures, ambient atmospheres, modal music, native instruments and nature. He mixes traditional sounds with modern arrangements, uses electronica and special effects, performs circular breathing on winds and didgeridoos, and creates original sounds from synthesizers. Ariel Kalma'a music is a synthesis of East and West, classical and jazzy elements. This synthesis is simple and natural, dissolving contradictions by themselves.
