Johnette Howard

Johnette Howard is an American author and writer that currently works as Longform Contributor for The Atlantic in New York City. Before that she was a columnist for ESPN.com and ESPNNew York.com. She has also worked for Newsday as a sports columnist, where she was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in general commentary. Johnette was also a senior writer for Sports Illustrated, a feature writer and columnist at the Washington Post, and an enterprise writer for The National Sports Daily. She began her career as an at-large writer and sports reporter for the Detroit Free Press in Detroit, Michigan.
