British limited company set up by <a href="/c/books/credit/136630/peter-llewelyn-davies/">Peter Llewelyn Davies</a>, along with the publisher <a href="/c/books/credit/450549/peter-davies/">Peter Davies</a> in 1926. Davies died in 1960, though the company continued, in 1977 it was incorporated in to Heinemann.
