Abelardo
Pietro Abelardo (in Latin: Petrus Abaelardus, in French: Pierre Abélard, Le Pallet, 1079 - Chalon-sur-Saône, 21 April 1142) was a French philosopher, theologian and composer, sometimes also called Pietro Palatino following the Latinization of the name of his city of origin. A precursor of Scholasticism, he was one of the most important and famous philosophers and thinkers of the Middle Ages. For some ideas he was considered a heretic by the Catholic Church in the Lateran Council II of 1139.
