Dick Mayer

Richard (Dick) Mayer (died August 22, 2008) was an artist, illustrator and art director. He worked 45 years for the Detroit Free Press until his retirement in 1996. He also worked for Ward’s Auto World as a freelance illustrator. Mayer was inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame on April 27, 2008.
