Psilocybin
Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound produced by more than 200 species of mushrooms, collectively known as psilocybin mushrooms. In 1959, the Swiss chemist <a href="/c/books/credit/228335/albert-hofmann/">Albert Hofmann</a> isolated the active principle psilocybin from the mushroom Psilocybe mexicana.
