Cyrus Brooks
Translator of books from German in to English. He spent the 1920s producing English versions of books such as Erich Kästner’s classic Emil and the Detectives, working with the firm European Books Ltd, which sought to bring European works in translation to English markets. Brooks went on to become a director of A.M. Heath Ltd.
