Gianni Papi

Gianni Papi is one of the leading scholars of Caravaggio and the Caravaggio environment in Rome and Naples. He has curated the exhibitions: Artemisia (Florence, 1991); Giovanni Serodine 1594/1600 - 1630 and the previous Romans (Rancate, 1993); The genius of the anonymous (Milan, 2005), The "schola" of Caravaggio. Paintings from the Koelliker Collection (Ariccia, 2006); Andrea Commodi (Florence, 2012). He has published the following monographic volumes: Cecco del Caravaggio (1992 and 2001), Orazio Borgianni (1993), Andrea Commodi (1994), Antiveduto Gramatica (1995), Gerrit Honthorst in Italy (1999), Spadarino (2003), Bartolomeo Manfredi ( 2013) and the last one just released on Bartolomeo Cavarozzi (2015).
