John B. Swainson

John Burley Swainson (born July 31, 1925 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada – died May 13, 1994 in Manchester, Michigan) was a Canadian-American politician and jurist from the U.S. state of Michigan. He served as a member of the Michigan Senate from 1954 to 1959, as the 52nd Lieutenant Governor of Michigan from 1959 to 1961 and as the 42nd governor of Michigan from January 1, 1961 to January 1, 1963.
