Otto Robert Frisch

Austrian physicist (1 October 1904 – 22 September 1979) who worked on nuclear physics Otto R. Frisch, O.B.E., F.R.S.was a Jacksonian Professor of Natural Philosophy, University of Cambridge, 1947 - 1972. He was best known as the physicist who in 1939 collaborated with Lise Meitner to produce the first definite identification and explanation of the phenomenon of "nuclear fission", a phrase which he himself identified.
