W. G. Read
Walter G. Read (born 1863 – died 1950) was an artist that is believed to have lived in Brooklyn, New York and worked in the New York area from approximately 1910-1930. It is also believed he spent a portion of his time in Ontario, Canada. Read’s painting of Theodore Roosevelt and the Rough Riders graced many posters and postcards in the late 1890s.
