Billy Ireland

William Addison ‟Billy” Ireland (born 1880 in Chillicothe, Ohio – died May 29, 1935 in Ohio) was an American cartoonist. He worked his entire life for the Columbus Dispatch in Columbus, Ohio, drawing four to seven editorial cartoons each week in addition to his weekly feature, The Passing Show. The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum at Ohio State University was named in his honor in 2009.
