Billy Welu
William Joseph ‟Billy” Welu (born July 3, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri – died May 16, 1974 in Houston, Texas) was an American professional ten-pin bowler, executive for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), bowling broadcaster, and a great ambassador for the sport. A founding member of the PBA, he won four PBA titles, including two ABC Masters championships. Welu was inducted into the USBC (United States Bowling Congress) Hall of Fame and PBA Hall of Fame in 1975.
