ACI

ACI

Automobile Club d'Italia (also known by the initials RACI until 1946 and later ACI) is a non-economic public body of the Italian Republic. It was founded in Turin 6 December 1898 as an association called "Automobile Club of Turin". The birth of ACI as a national association occurred in 1905, from the union of the Automobile Club di Torino and some other local car clubs. In 1926 it was transformed into a body and renaming in the Reale Automobile Club d'Italia (RACI) maintained until 1946. The magazine L'Automobile is the official press of the ACI.
