Vanguard Press was one of 14 Imprints used for publishing before Avalon Publishing Group was integrated into the Perseus Books Group in 2007. In April, 2016 the Perseus Books Group was acquired by Hachette Book Group. THIS IS NOT the Vanguard Press which was an active publisher from 1926 thru 1988, which published "radical" works for years but also published the works, fiction and non-fiction) of many great authors
