Sieb Warner

Sieb Warner (The Hague, 17 September 1946, real name Siebolt Jaques Warntjes) is a Dutch drummer and singer. Warner became known as co-founder of The Motions in 1964. His first professional band was Willy & his Giants. Warner was a member of The Atmospheres when he founded The Motions with Rudy Bennett, Robbie van Leeuwen and Henk Smitskamp in 1964 and released the first single in the same year. Warner played on four albums with The Motions, until in 1969 he was asked to succeed Jaap Eggermont as drummer of Golden Earring. He would only play at the Earring for a year, and his last performance was at the first Pinkpop festival on 18 May 1970. He was succeeded by Cesar Zuiderwijk and turned his back on the music to become a civil servant in Groningen at the Informatie Beheer Groep (now DUO). He is now retired.
