Sander Donkers

Sander Donkers (1967) has been working as a journalist for Vrij Nederland since 1999. He writes about a wide range of subjects, but with pop music as a specialty. Before he started writing for Vrij Nederland, he worked freelance for the art editors of Het Parool and as program maker / interviewer for the VPRO program Lola da Musica. He previously wrote the book Lipstick Sunset, and won both the Pop Media Prize, the Jip Golsteijn Journalistiekprijs and the De Tegel.
