He has been a regular contributor for The Word, Observer Music Monthly, Jockey Slut, Touch, Red Bull Music Academy and others. He has also written for Mojo, The Guardian, New Statesman, Prospect, Dazed & Confused, The Face, Uncut, Trace, Swell, Huck, BBC Collective, Ice, Vice, Arise and more. Active since the mid-1990s. Possibly the same person as Steve Yates as both have done proofreading, but this Yates didn't mention Judge Dredd and only mentioned the work for one publication.
