Andrea Ferrara
Andrea Ferrara is Full Professor of Cosmology at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and Joint Professor of the Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe of Tokyo. It carries out theoretical and numerical research on the formation of the first galaxies and black holes in the prior-universe. He has more than 300 scientific papers to his credit, which received about 12,000 citations. He has been awarded several international awards including the prestigious Blaauw Prize and Tinsley Prize; works as a publisher for various international scientific journals and is on the list of the Top 100 Italian scientists. He is also actively engaged in scientific dissemination with various publications and public conferences.
