Tristan 'Stringy' Carter was involved in the UK anarcho-punk scene and wrote his own fanzine Terminal Boredom in the mid-1980s (no relation to the current webzine of the same name). He is now an academic in archaeology and is Associate Professor at McMaster University in Canada.
