Claire Polders (Gouda, 1976) is a Dutch writer who debuted at the beginning of 2005 with the novel 'De Onfeilbare'. Claire Polders studied Arts (1994–2001) at Tilburg University and Philosophy (1995–2001) at Tilburg and Amsterdam Universities. In 2000 she also studied for half a year at the Sorbonne in Paris. Her final thesis was entitled 'Auschwitz as Gorgon, the Holocaust in philosophy and literature'. She regularly published poems, essays and stories in various magazines such as faculty and university magazines, HP / De Tijd, Literature without Age and Philosophy Magazine. After her studies she started writing her debut. She settled in Paris, where she still lives in 2015.
