Gordon Wingrove

Gordon Wingrove has been closely involved with Porsches since the early 1970s when he was a race mechanic for JW Automotive, when Porsche was contesting and winning the World Championship of Makes with the legendary 917. He has been a fan of the Stuttgart marque ever since and has owned 924s, 944s, 911s and today, he owns a near-concours 911 Carrera 3.2 Club Sport. He competed in several seasons of the UK Porsche race series in the UK - always driving his 911SC to the circuits and somehow managing to drive it back home again! He became a contributor to Porsche Post in the 1980s and today is Technical Editor for 911 & Porsche World magazine and contributes technical features on all Porsche subjects. Gordon has been described as the mechanic's mechanic and his attention to detail on all things Porsche is legendary.
