James Blish
James Benjamin Blish was an American author of fantasy and science fiction. Blish also wrote literary criticism of science fiction using the pseudonym William Atheling, Jr. He also wrote under several other pseudonyms including: Donald Laverty, John MacDougal, and Arthur Lloyd Merlyn. Blish's most important work included the Cities In Flight tetralogy and the Hugo Award-winning novel A Case Of Conscience. However, he became known to many as the author of 11 short story collections based upon the TV series Star Trek. In 1970 he wrote Spock Must Die!, the first original Star Trek novel. Series: After Such Knowledge, and Cities In Flight.
