Marion Chesney was the maiden name of Marion Gibbons, a Scottish writer of romance and mystery novels. She also wrote under a number of other pseudonyms including: Ann Fairfax, Charlotte Ward, Helen Crampton, Jennie Tremaine, M. C. Beaton, and Sarah Chester. As Marion Chesney she wrote the following series: A House for the Season, Edwardian Murder Mystery, Poor Relation, The Daughters of Mannerling, The School for Manners, The Six Sisters, The Travelling Matchmaker, Waverley Women, and Westerby.
