Deutsche Rundstrecken-Meisterschaft

Deutsche Rundstrecken-Meisterschaft

The Deutsche Rundstrecken-Meisterschaft was a racing series for touring cars and GT vehicles, which was held from 1960 to 1971. It was first advertised by the ONS in 1960 to provide a new motorsport platform for the touring car sport, which has become increasingly popular since the late 1950s. It was replaced in 1972 by the Deutsche Rennsport-Meisterschaft (DRM), which was characterized both by a simplification of the racing categories and by the professionalization of the racing missions.
