John Buchan
John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, was a Scottish novelist, historian and Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada. His most famous series characters include <a href="/c/books/credit/68188/richard-hannay/">Richard Hannay</a>, introduced in The Thirty-Nine Steps, and barrister <a href="/c/books/credit/68212/edward-leithen/">Edward Leithen</a>, introduced in The Power-House.
