John Buchan
John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, was a Scottish novelist, historian and Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada. His most famous series characters include Richard Hannay, introduced in The Thirty-Nine Steps, and barrister Edward Leithen, introduced in The Power-House.
