Skip Voogd
Skip Voogd (The Hague, July 6, 1933) is a Dutch radio DJ and music journalist of the first hour. He is regarded as a great propagandist and all-round expert of Dutch post-war light music and swing. During the Second World War, Voogd grew up in a fatherless family in The Hague. His father died when the merchant ship on which he sailed was torpedoed by the Japanese in the waters of the Dutch East Indies.
