Artists and Others Against Imposters, an organization that is fighting against imposters that perform as the original legends. In 1998, lawmakers worked to strengthen trademark laws so control of musical legacies remain in the hands of those whose talents created them. Rock 'n' Roll legends of yesteryear are finding their names, music and likenesses being used by copycats presenting themselves as the authentic acts, and not paying royalties to the original artists.
