F. Frith & Co Ltd

Photo studio and agency, founded by Francis Frith, later also a postcard publisher. A year after the company was liquidated, tobacco manufacturer Rothmans International bought the entire collection of photographs that would otherwise have been destroyed when the site was demolished. In 1975 Rothmans founded The Francis Frith Collection and sold it in 1977.
