Albano Marcarini is an urban planner, cartographer, traveler on foot and by bicycle.
Animator of the Italian Touring Club, he travels hundreds, sometimes thousands, of kilometers every year to discover places that nobody remembers. His guides, accompanied by watercolor drawings and detailed color maps, are the result of this research. He was founder of Co.Mo.Do. (Confederation for soft mobility) and president of the Inventory of Historic Routes.
He was also general secretary, but for pleasure, of the AVD (Association for obsolete travels). He currently directs the magazine Cycle! of culture of cycling and cycling.
