William Clowes and Sons

British printing company founded in London in 1803 by William Clowes. It was later incorporated as William Clowes and Sons Ltd. NB. Wikipedia says that William Clowes and Sons became William Clowes Ltd in 1880. However, credits on Bookogs do not back this up (yet). The earliest William Clowes and Sons Ltd. credit (so far) is from 1888 (though no pic) and continue for this limited company up to and including the 1970s. The first William Clowes Ltd credits do not appear until the 1980s.
