Pascal "Def P" Griffioen was born in 1969 in Amsterdam. Growing up there in the turbulent 1970s and 1980s, he knew one thing for sure: he wanted to be a draftsman. In spite of a striking linguistic nibble and studying school advice, he was determined to go into graphic vocational education immediately after primary school to increase his chance of "something with drawing".
Ironically, during his visually oriented training (from 1982 to 1990), a musical talent emerged that no one could ignore. With his controversial and controversial rap group "Osdorp Posse", Pascal Griffioen aka "Def P" was the founder of Dutch-language hip hop. With his help, this phenomenon, abbreviated to Nederhop, grew into an unmistakable chapter in Dutch music history.
