The Arkham Sampler
The Arkham Sampler was an American fantasy and horror fiction magazine published as a quarterly by Arkham House in 1948 and 1949. The magazine was edited by August Derleth, with a cover design by Ronald Clyne. Each issue had a print run of 1,200 copies, with the exception of the Winter 1949 issue. The Arkham Sampler was larger than a typical digest, at 6x9 inches. It was also not a pulp magazine, as it was printed on quality paper with trimmed edges.
