Magister of Literature (English: PhD in Literature), and from 1978 married to Danish author Thorkild Hansen, until his death in 1989. After his death, she oversaw the posthumous publication of several unpublished diaries and other works, in cooperation with Lars Peter Rømhild. She died in 2012 at the age of 74.
