Johnson, Matthey & Co., Limited

British speciality chemicals and previous metals company. Founded in 1817 by Percival Norton Johnson. In 1860 Percival Norton Johnson retired, George Matthey, John Sellon and Edward Matthey formed a partnership called Johnson, Matthey and Co. This became a limited company in 1891. The company published its own journals as well as a biography of the founder. Is now called Johnson Matthey Plc.
