Invincible Press

Invincible Press was founded in 1944 by newspaper proprietor, Ezra Norton. As well as publishing comics and magazines, it produced popular literature books, including pulp crime thrillers, romances and westerns. The press is reported to have ceased operating in the mid 1950s but comics and magazines continued to be published under the name. The transfer of some titles to Southdown Press suggests that publisher might have used Invincible Press as an indicia publisher or brand. It also had an office in Wellington, New Zealand, possibly for distribution purposes. NB. first credit called it The Invincible Press, unclear if this name was more commonly used.
