J. Frank Dobie
J. Frank Dobie (September 26, 1888 – September 18, 1964) was an American folklorist, writer, and newspaper columnist. Dobie published books and anthologies of stories about Texas folklore and the open range. On September 14, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson awarded him the Medal of Freedom.
