Mike Hennessey

English music journalist, editor, record producer, broadcaster and pianist. Covering mainly jazz he covered the international music scene for Billboard magazine for 27 years and has written more than 500 album notes and hundreds of articles, reviews and biographical features for a wide range of jazz magazines, including Jazz Magazine, Jazz Hot, Coda, Jazz Times, Down Beat, Jazz Journal International, Jazzwise, Crescendo, Jazz Forum, Musica Jazz etc. He is also the author of a well-received biography of the late drummer, Kenny Clarke. NB. likely to be the same as the writer for Melody Maker in the 1960s but no link found yet.
