The Dixie Stompers

The Dixie Stompers

Belgian jazz band (sometimes also referred to as "Les Dixie Stompers") from the region of Mons, founded during WW II by pianist/vibist Jean Leclère. In 1951 it took a more "modern" form when Albert Langue began to lead the band. Their repertoire is mostly Dixieland, but they sometimes play in the Middle-Jazz style.
