David Trippett
David Trippett is Lecturer in Music at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Christ’s College. His work on Wagner, the history of aesthetics, and theories of technology has appeared in various academic publications, and has earned him the Alfred Einstein Award of the American Musicological Society, and the Donald Tovey Memorial Prize of the University of Oxford. He has served as guest editor of Musiktheorie, and is editor and translator of Carl Stumpf’s The Origins of Music (2012). He also performs regularly as a collaborative pianist.
