Keisuke Nishimoto

Keisuke Nishimoto (西本鶏介; born 1934) is a Japanese writer and literary critic. His body of work includes criticism of children's literature, studies of authors and their works, research on folktales, and creative writing; he has authored numerous children's picture books and retellings of folktales. He is professor emeritus at Showa Women's University, and serves on the selection committees of several literary awards in Japan.
