Walt Disney präsentiert

Periodical German publisher series, only available with a subscription. Translated editions from the US series Disney's Wonderful World of Reading respectively the Danish version "Anders Ands Bogklub" (Donald Duck's Book Club) from Disney's licensing partner Gutenberghus (now Egmont). While Gutenberghus did not translate all the American editions, they started publishing original stories, some of those were published in the US too. The German series has all three variants: books that were published in the US and in Denmark, published in the US but not Denmark, published in Denmark but not the US. Still the least amount of issues published in Germany. The series was launched in 1981 by Ehapa-Verlag as "Disneys Wundervolle Welt des Lesens", which is the direct translation of the American title. They soon started using additional labels or sub-series' names like "Mickeys Buch-Club" (Mickey's Book Club) or "Der große Spiel-, Lern- und Lese-Klub" (The Great Playing, Learning and Reading Club), with the overarching lettering "Walt Disney präsentiert" as the constant connecting element. In 1985, the series was transferred to the subsidiary Horizont Verlag so all mail order business would be under one roof and Ehapa would focus on the business with comic books at kiosks and newspaper/ magazine shops. Horizont dropped the additional logos and kept only the "Walt Disney präsentiert" lettering. The series ended in 1999.
