Ray Wright

Ray Wright first began opening Clearwell Caves, Nr Coleford, Gloucestershire, England to visitors in 1968 and remained fully involved until he passed away in 2015, aged 85. Ray was a founding member of the Royal Forest of Dean Caving Club and the Gloucestershire Cave Rescue. Ray was secretary to the Royal Forest of Dean Freeminers' Association for over 30 years and was one of the four Forest of Dean Verderers, he was also chairman of the Wyedean Tourism Association for many years during the 1980s.
