Manhattan

Manhattan respectively Manhattan Verlag is an Imprint of Wilhelm Goldmann Verlag, München, which belongs to Verlagsgruppe Random House GmbH. Mahattan was designed by Goldmann's then chief editor Ulrich Genzler as a label for publishings in trade paperback format (in Germany called just "Paperback" in contrast zu standard sized and mass-market paperbacks, which are called "Taschenbuch" [pocket book]), In 2000, the Manhattan concept was changed to publish mainly hardcover editions, although there were still paperback editions too. Paperbacks were sometimes labeled Goldmann Manhattan. Publishings credit Hans-im-Glück-Verlag, München for the permission to use the label Manhattan.
