Flying Aces
Flying Aces was launched in October 1928 as a 7" by 10" pulp magazine featuring adventure stories about aviation. In November 1933, the magazine switched to the larger bedsheet format, and began featuring full-sized plans for model airplanes. Issue size was reduced to 74 pages, as well as non-fiction aviation articles and aviation news. In November, 1943, fiction was dropped. In 1947, the magazine was renamed Flying Models.
