Peter Shaffer
Sir Peter Levin Shaffer, CBE (born 15 May 1926 - died 6 June 2016) was an English playwright and screenwriter. Author of the plays Equus and Amadeus, as well as the screenplays to films based on these plays. Shaffer won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay for Amadeus (1984).
