Gavin Hills

English journalist who wrote for The Face and skateboarding magazine RaD in the 1990s. In the summer of 1993, he launched his own boys' magazine, Phat! He went on to edit the official England and Manchester United football magazines. He worked for Radio 4, for national newspapers including The Observer and the Guardian, contributed to a wide range of magazines and had a regular column in The Idler. He also co-presented the BBC's Rough Guide tv series with Miranda Sawyer. He sadly died in 1997, aged 31.
