First edition of this comprehensive, finely illustrated gazeteer of the city of Lima during mid-19th century. The book is valued for its excellent lithographic renderings of the architecture of Lima and as a reliable source for the variety of local costume and customs. The author was a Peruvian jurist and a member of several learned societies.
