| Notes | This edition's cover is the first variant of what is known colloquially as the 'dragon' design which has the lettering beneath the dragon embossed in bronze foil and features the book number on both the front cover and spine. It was the last in the Puffin series to feature the book number on the front cover (except for the special case of #50). This title, for at least the first impression, was the only one in the main Puffin series to feature the "FIGHTING FANTASY BOOKS Over 10 million copies sold worldwide!" text on the back cover in bronze-embossed foil, to mark the sales reaching this figure for the first time. It was also the first in which Puffin switched from listing re-printings by year and count to a printer's key, from the first impression. |
