| Notes | Record Research's flagship book, Top Pop Singles, was updated for the first time since 1997. This edition mostly focused on the new configuration of '90s titles. This was the first edition: - since Billboard changed its policy on letting non-singles chart on the Hot 100 in 1998 - to highlight 90's songs that were released as a "45" - to identify Sales and Airplay songs in a superscript by peak position - to highlight songs that were available as commercial CD singles (that were charted on the then-revised Hot 100) This was the only edition to feature songs that were available only as Promotional CD singles (for non-commercial singles that charted on the then-revised Hot 100) |
